"Pat Oliphant"
At this opening, Patrick Oliphant: A Survey: Selections from Rome and Other Works, Santa Fe, New Mexico, Gerald Peters Gallery, 2013, the Pulitzer Prize awarded cartoonist, whom I had been spending the previous two weeks with photographing a comprehensive body of works-on-paper as well as a collection of bronze casts he had completed, he confessed he wasn't much for crowds and all the chit chat and that is why he set himself up a wall-sized section of white butcher block paper and set to drawing his caricatures during the exhibition.
